Declined applicant organisations are advised that their application has been declined and the reasons it was declined. Process for dealing with complaints If you have difficulties getting an appliation form or believe that a site or society has broken the rules, or if you have any complaint regarding the grants process, you can contact the Department of Internal Affairs Gaming Compliance office on 0800 257887. The records of South Auckland Charitable Trust are liable for inspection by the Department of Internal Affairs and are subject to audit. Applications are made on the understanding that if any Department of Internal Affairs officer so request, the applicant organisation shall agree to and participate in (at its own expense) any such inspection and/or audit. The Department requires that all applications include a Consent to Audit signed by the applicant organisation to verify receipt and correct use of funds. All applications will be audited by South Auckland Charitable Trust. There will be a request for invoices and receipts to support quotations submitted with applications. In the event that inadequate audit documentation for a grant cannot be obtained, actual costs are less than those indicated in the application, funds are spent other than for the approved Authorised Purpose, there is any other irregularity in the donation process or the applicant has received funding from another source for the same purpose, then South Auckland Charitable Trust is required to obtain a refund of the grant.
